Natuplag faces Ahmadi in Dubai

IFUGAO warrior KJ Natuplag looks to end a two-fight losing streak as he trades leathers with Afghan prospect Hasibullah Ahmadi on June 5, 2021 at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City in Dubai, UAE.

Natuplag has not seen any action since 2019. He lost two straight fights one by split decision against veteran Joe Tejones and the other a third round technical knockout in the hands of Mikito Nakano.

Natuplag’s biggest wins are against veteran Robert Udtohan and prospect Bryan Tamayo.

Natuplag should have his hands full against Ahmadi, who’s unbeaten in 11 pro bouts.

Ahmadi has been impressive in his young promising career thus far. He owns wins over former International Boxing Federation (IBF) China super bantamweight champion Shidong Cai and experienced ex-IBF Continental Africa super bantamweight titleholder Isaac Netty.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, Ahmadi has fought twice in 2020 and once in 2021. He is fresh from a seventh round technical knockout of Mustapha Appiah.

Natuplag is 8-2-2 with seven knockouts, while Ahmadi is 11-0 with four knockouts. / EKA
