The Playoff games of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on Thursday, August 27, 2020, have been cancelled.
According to a statement released by the league, the decision was made after the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to take the floor for Game 5 of their series against the Orlando Magic as a show of protest in the wake of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
“The NBA and the National Basketball Association Players Association today announced that in light of the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to not take the floor today for Game 5 against the Orlando Magic, today’s three games — Bucks vs. Magic, Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers — have been postponed.
Game 5 of each series will be rescheduled,” read the statement. (JNP)
