Netflix asks ‘Trese’ fans to attend a ‘Not ALive’ UDD concert — as ghosts

As part of the lead-up to the premiere of the hotly anticipated animated series Trese, Netflix has released details of a “Not ALive” online concert featuring Up Dharma Down — which the streaming giant asks fans to attend as virtual ghosts.

The supernaturally themed series is based on a comic book from Filipino creators Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo. After being published in the Philippines, the book was published in the United States and Canada in September 2020, about a year after Netflix announced that the title was part of their coming lineup.

The concert website is up at tresenotaliveconcert, com, with instructions for fans of Trese to film themselves jamming to Up Dharma Down’s “Paagi” before uploading the video to the website. Chosen fans will be seen on screen with the band at midnight on July 10, when the series is set to premiere.

Some tips: make sure your video doesn’t contain any visible logos or branding of any product — don’t wear clothing with logos, or carry any products as you film the video. Oh, and nudity and obscene images will also disqualify your video. Boo.
