Netizen surrenders after derogatory post against Guv

A MAN who allegedly posted on Facebook offering P10 million to anyone who could kill Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia, has surrendered to the Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO).

According to a report by the Capitol, Billy Joe Magdadaro, a resident of Mandaue City, turned himself in to the CPPO on June 26, 2020.

Apart from the threat, he wrote in another post cursing Garcia and President Rodrigo Duterte and calling them corrupt officials.

He also said in his post that he was upset about the lockdown and blamed Garcia and Duterte for what has been happening.

However, Magdadaro said he decided to turn himself in so that he could clear his name.

According to him, it was not him who wrote those posts and it was a just fake account.

Garcia said Magdadaro should defend himself in court and prove that the account is fake and not his.

The police are still investigating the matter as of press time. (ANV/CCP)
