Netizens hit Carcar lechon vendors anew for ‘disrespecting customers’

DESPITE several complaints from netizens previously, roasted pig (lechon baboy) vendors allegedly continued their illegal practices such as disrespecting customers and selling leftovers instead of the newly roasted pig.

This after a netizen posted her complaint on a social media against lechon vendors who approached their customers in a very unpleasant manner in order for the latter to buy their products.

“Kuwang na lang kabay-an ta (Piggyback was the only one lacking),” the netizen, who refused to be identified, said in her recent social media post.

“Kamo mga tindera og inasal ayaw ninyo tapok-I, ayaw sab ninyo kabyuni. Imbis mopalit mi usa ka tibuok nga inasal usa nalang ka kilo kay gisamokan mi,” she added.

(You roasted pig vendors don’t come closer to us nor grab us. Instead of buying a whole roasted pig, we just bought 1 kilo due to rowdiness).

Another netizen also complained that the roasted pig that they bought was not freshly cooked.

Carcar City Mayor Patrick Barcenas said he will conduct an investigation into the matter to find out if the accusations against the lechon vendors were true.

He said the complainants can also visit his office at the city hall to prove their allegations.

To recall, then Carcar City Mayor Mercedita Apura ordered the shutdown of four lechon stalls at the public market in Nov. 8, 2019.

Two of the lechon stalls were the subject of the complaint of would-be buyers who had narrated on Facebook their upsetting experience with the lechon vendors. (BBT, TPT)
