Nine Perfect Strangers had us HOOKED after it dropped on Prime Video. Starring Nicole Kidman, Samara Weaving and Melissa McCarthy among others, the series told the story about an Californian retreat with some seriously ~alternative~ healing methods.

After the final episode aired, we were all left with one question. No, not 'Why do we kind of want to meet Masha?' but 'Will there be a second season?' Here's what we know so far, from potential release date to storylines.

Has Nine Perfect Strangers season 2 been announced?

The short answer is no, but that's not to say it might not be.

Director Jonathan Levine told BuzzFeed he would be interested in a follow-up if fans were. "I hope that people enjoy it enough for Season 2 to be an option. I certainly can imagine where it would go for a second season."

He added that, of course, the group of guests would have to be different, turning it more into an anthology series. "The one thing I did think would be cool is if you could get, like, another group of nine. One of them would be, like, a famous person playing themselves. I would love for people to want more. And then it's about whether we could convince [David E. Kelley], the series creator, and Nicole.”

Who will star in Nine Perfect Strangers season 2?

The series was based on the book of the same name by Liane Moriarty, which doesn't have a sequel. But you only have to look at Big Little Lies, which was also based on a single book by Moriarty, and the fact it has a third season in the works.

As the director mentioned, the nine people attending the retreat would have to be different, which would mean a whole new host of famous faces, though likely Nicola Kidman's Masha would have to stick around.

What happened in Nine Perfect Strangers season 1?

Nine strangers head to Tranquillum House, a 10-day retreat in California, with certain things they want to address in mind. When they get there, though, deeper rooted issues come to the surface thanks to alternative healing methods, which makes for intense viewing.

We could totally see that playing out in a season two. Anyone else?
