The NLEX Road Warriors, Blackwater Bossing and TNT engaged in a massive trade highlighted by the fourth pick of the upcoming PBA Rookie Draft this March 14 landing with the Tropang Giga.

NLEX first traded the fourth pick to Blackwater in exchange for a package that includes its top player Don Trollano, guard Roi Sumang, center Morris Shaw and second round pick in the 2022 draft. Trollano is seen to be a significant addition to NLEX after he posted stellar numbers of 14.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists for the Bossing last season.

Blackwater then sent its rights to the fourth pick to TNT in exchange for guard Simon Enciso, power forward David Semerad and the Tropang Giga’s 2023 first round draft pick and 2024 second round pick.

The deal is crucial for TNT as it seeks to add a young and talented player who can help fill the hole left by Bobby Ray Parks who opted not to play in the upcoming Philippine Cup which will open on April 11. Reports have mentioned that TNT head coach Chot Reyes is keen on selecting former NCAA Division 1 player Mikey Williams.

The two deals have been given the green light by the PBA trade committee. (JNP)
