FOUR days before the end of 2020, the number of barangays in Cebu City that have no recorded cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) continues to increase.
As of Sunday, Dec. 27, 2020, 55 of the city’s 80 barangays reported no active case for the past 14 days, based on the data of the city’s Emergency Operations Center. These include Barangays Taptap, Paril, Buot and Sudlon 1, which never had a single coronavirus case since the pandemic began in March.
Mayor Edgardo Labella earlier said barangays that could beat Covid-19 from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 would receive P100,000.
As of Saturday, Dec. 26, Cebu City had 71 active cases. (JJL)
