MANILA, Philippines — Meralco assures customers it will not issue any disconnection notice for unpaid bills until August 31, 2020.
The power distributor added that it may further extend the non-issuance of disconnection notice to September or the succeeding months as resources are tight at this time of crisis.
Meralco promised its customers that even if they pay at least 25 percent of their bills, their power lines will not be disconnected.
To date, Meralco was able to complete the reading of some seven million of its customers’ electric meters.
The power distributor advised its clients who have not received their bills to wait for them in the coming days.
