Individuals with emergency trips within Metro Manila no longer need to present a travel pass, according to Joint Task Force COVID Shield.
“Ngayon dahil naging GCQ at MGCQ na tayo, binibigyan ng pagkakataon na ang mga emergency-related na lakad (Now that we are in GCQ and MGCQ emergency trips are now allowed),” according to Joint Task Force COVID Shield Commander PLtGen, Guillermo Eleazar.
“Kung ikaw ay nasa Metro Manila pwede kang mag-travel within Metro Manila, ibig sabihin from one city to another, hindi ka na kailangang kumuha pa ng travel pass (If you’re in Metro Manila, you can travel within Metro Manila, meaning from one city to another. No need to avail for travel pass)” he added.
However, Eleazar clarified that a travel pass would still be needed for those who needs to travel to provinces.
“Pag magko-cross ka na ng border ng probinsya o NCR, ayun kailangan mo na ang travel authority (If you are going to cross province borders or NCR, you would really need travel authority),” he said.
Individuals who wish to avail of a travel pass would need a medical certificate from their barangay health center, stating they have undergone 14-day quarantine.
The medical certificate will then be submitted to the nearest police station where they will apply for a travel pass. AAC (with reports from Lea Ylagan)
