Malacañang has declared November 13 to 15 as special non-working days in Metro Manila, as well as in the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga because of the conduct of the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN and related summits.
This is based on Proclamation Number 332 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
This means there will be no classes and work in both public and private offices and schools in the said areas as they will be directly affected by major activities related to the summit.
Meanwhile, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said suspension of classes on November 16 to 17 in Metro Manila will also proceed.
“RPOC passed the resolution, the Regional Peace and Order Council which is composed of Metro Manila Mayors, so unanimously they approved two weeks ago that classes will be suspended at all levels in all Metro Manila schools, from November 16 and 17,” said MMDA AGM for Planning Jose Arhturo Garcia. – UNTV News & Rescue
