CEBU City Mayor Edgardo Labella has issued an executive order suspending the number coding scheme for vehicles.
In Executive Order (EO) 082-A, Labella said the number coding scheme for vehicles as established under EO 070, Series of 2020 and reiterated in subsequent executive orders is "hereby suspended" effective immediately.
With the suspension, residents can now go out and use their vehicles depending on the codes of their quarantine passes.
According to EO 082-A, holders of quarantine passes ending in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) may go out of their homes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Those ending in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 5, 8) will be allowed on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
No one would be allowed to go out on Sundays, except essential workers and authorized persons outside residence, Labella said.
The local government started Friday, June 26, distributing 178,000 QR-coded quarantine passes to villages. (LMY)
