Team Lakay’s Jenelyn Olsim secured a spot in the historic all-women ONE Championship - “Empower” event after a unanimous decision win over Bi Nguyen last Aug. 27, 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.
Olsim was in a close striking exchange with Nguyen. However, Olsim got a bit of the edge with her grappling and submission attempts.
Olsim won her second straight fight in the ONE cage. She improved to 5-2.
Nguyen, in the meantime, suffered yet another close decision defeat in ONE and dropped to 6-7.
Olsim is slated to face Grace Cleveland in an Atomweight Grand Prix Alternate fight in ONE - “Empower” on Sept. 3, 2021 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Cleveland is an unbeaten American fighter with a 5-0 slate. She’ll be making her ONE debut after fighting previously in the King of the Cage.
The “Empower” show also features two other Pinoy fighters.
Denice Zamboanga faces former UFC fighter Seo Hee Ham in the Atomweight Grand Prix quarterfinals, while Jackie Buntan takes on Daniela Lopez in a Muay Thai fight. (EKA)
