TYPHOON Odette (Rai) has severely affected 5,500 families in Consolacion, a town in northern Cebu.

These affected families have received the second wave of aid from the municipal government on Wednesday, December 28, 2021.

Each relief pack contains four kilos of rice and 10 pieces of beef loaf in a can, the local government unit of Consolacion reported on its Facebook page.

The first wave of the relief goods distribution happened on December 20-21. Each pack contains two kilos of rice, two cans of corned beef, two cans of beef loaf, two cans of sardines, three pieces of packed noodles and five sachets of instant coffee.

Aside from distributing aid to severely affected families, Ako Bisaya party-list Representative Sonny Lagon, Consolacion Mayor Joannes "Joyjoy" Alegado and his mother Vice Mayor Teresa "Nene" Alegado have prepared relief packs for all 45,000 households in the town.

The Consolacion LGU also reported that it received 100 sacks of rice from presidential candidate and former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and 300 relief packs from Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go. These donations were already distributed to barangays. (KAL)
