P15-M Fund For Cavite Scholarships

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite - The provincial government distributed last month P15 million worth of grants and assistance for some 9,296 scholars attending different schools in the province.

Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla and Alvin S. Mojica of the Provincial Scholarship Committee Secretariat led the distribution of the fund during their visits to school campuses in upland districts and student activities at the Capitol here.

The grants and assistance recipients were the high performing and less fortunate students of the province.

The provincial administration has been providing grants and assistance for deserving students through the years.

The continuing grant has helped populous Cavite retained its 96.52% literacy rate which is virtually the highest among the provinces in the country.

Remulla prioritized education in his reform agenda in a bid to alleviate poverty in the province.
