Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office ARMM and the Special Enforcement Services (SES) nabbed Sunday a drug suspect in a joint buy bust operation in Quirino Grandstand, Roxas Boulevard in Manila.

According to team leader Jonay Cuayson of PDEA-SES, it has been a month since they began tracking the activities of the suspect who had been transacting illegal drugs up to Mindanao.

The suspects were identified as Abdul Gaffar Cabib Basman and Jalani Pilagidan Mangorsi alias Alex, both residents of Marawi City.

Mangorsi was injured following a gun shot from operatives and was rushed to a nearby hospital, according to PDEA-SES Director Levi Ortiz.

Recovered from the suspects three transparent plastic bags containing 500g of suspected shabu with street value of up to P2.5 million pesos and a cellular phone.

The suspects are placed under the custody of PDEA while charges are being prepared against them. — Reynante Ponte | UNTV News & Rescue
