Pagasa lowers public storm warning signals

The state weather bureau has lowered storm warning signals in several areas as Tropical Storm "Juaning" slightly weakened after making landfall in Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued the following public storm warning signals:

Signal No. 2
(60-100 kph winds)   

Ilocos Norte, Abra, Kalinga, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, Mt. Province, Ifugao, La Union
Benguet, Nueva Viscaya, Quirino

Signal No. 1
(45-60 kph winds)

Aurora, Apayao, Cagayan, Pangasinan,Nueva Ecija, Northern Quezon, Zambales, Pampanga
Tarlac, Bulacan, Bataan, Rizal, Metro Manila.

Pagasa said residents in low lying and mountainous areas under storm warning signals must be prepared for possible flashfloods and landslides.

"Juaning" will continue to bring widespread rains "which may trigger flashfloods and landslides over the Rest of Luzon and Western Visayas," said Pagasa.
