Parking fees for health workers waived

MAYOR Edgardo Labella has issued a new executive order, temporarily waiving the parking fees for health workers in Cebu City Government-operated parking facilities while the city is under the state of general community quarantine.

Those covered by Executive Order 063 are workers or employees of the Department of Health (DOH); DOH hospitals; hospitals of local government units; Cebu City Health Department; private health workers but not limited to medical professionals, hospital administrative staff and aides from private health facilities as well as their service providers; and health workers and volunteers of the Philippine Red Cross and World Health Organization.

To have their parking fees waived, medical and health workers must present their company ID, showing that they are currently working in a hospital or medical facility, to the pay parking facilities.

Labella also directed the Cebu City Transportation Office to temporarily stop the collection of parking fees effective immediately. (JCT)
