The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is all set for the restart of the stalled Philippine Cup after it got the green light to stage its games at the Don Honorio Ventura State University gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.

With that, the league will get the tournament rolling once again, with triple-headers being played on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and double-headers on Thursdays and Saturdays.

“I would like to express my great appreciation to the endorsements of Gov. Dennis Pineda and Cong. Dong Gonzales. They really offered so much help," said PBA commissioner Willie Marcial on the league’s official website.

“The endorsement of Cong. Gonzales was a huge boost considering that he’s a board member of the school,” said Marcial, exuding gratitude for the hand lent to them by the Pampanga lawmaker.

The league will practice strict health protocols in their Bacolor sojourn, with RT-PCR tests being done weekly and antigen tests being conducted on the morning of each playdate. (JNP)
