QUEZON CITY, Philippines – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confirmed that 60 from 207 barangay officials on the narcolist won the May 14 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) polls.
PDEA Chief Aaron Aquino said 36 of them won as barangay chairmen while 24 won as councilors.
Aquino claimed these officials used drug money to buy votes.
The agency is now preparing for the filing of charges against the said officials with active connections to illegal drug trade. – UNTV News and Rescue
