PDEA arrests 13 drug suspects

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Monday proved that 13 is not really an unlucky number after it reported the successful arrest of 13 drug personalities during several anti-drug operations in different parts of the country.

Last March 29, 2011 the joint forces of PDEA RO3, PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES), and Mabalacat Police arrested June Sanchez, Jumar Abao, brothers Kennith, Juneth, and Jhonjhon Florez in Pampanga after implementing Search Warrant Number 2011-214, 215, and 216 issued by Honorable Judge Maria Angelica Paras-Quimbao of RTC Branch 59, Angeles City. Confiscated from their possession were suspected shabu of undetermined weight and different drug paraphernalia.

Over in Surigao City, PDEA agents also conducted a buy-bust operation along Navarro Street, Brgy. Taft and managed to arrest Randal Plaza alias Andal (watchlisted), Alexis Edillor alias Alex, and Gilbert Ramos alias Dodong.

They were caught trying to sell two pieces of plastic sachets containing suspected shabu to an agent acting as a poseur buyer.
