CEBU’S riding public can now avail themselves of the Unli Ride program of PeoplesJeep operated by the Cebu People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative.

Under this program, a commuter may avail himself of unlimited rides in all PeoplesJeep units in all of its routes for P25 for one day, P150 for seven days and P500 for 30 days from July 17, 2021 to July 17, 2022.

“By offering unlimited rides, this service would alleviate the cost of living of commuters. We see that this is a sustainable program for our transportation and for the riding public who will need to take multiple rides to get to their workplace,” Macario Quevedo, chief executive officer of People’s Coop, told SunStar Cebu.

To purchase the PeoplesJeep Unli Ride promo, commuters must download the GoodKredit App for free in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

They will need to register their mobile number and then tap on the People’s Jeep GK store in the app. From there, they can choose which Unli Ride options they wish to purchase -- P25 for one day, P150 for seven days and P500 for 30 days.

Commuters can pay in the nearest Cebu People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative branch or in any Cebuana Lhuillier outlet. They may also use their Good Kredit vouchers as payment for the unli rides. The app also accepts credit and debit card payments.

Quevedo said this promo aims to attract the tech-savvy commuters.

PeoplesJeep units ply the routes of Talamban-Colon, Talisay-Cebu IT Park, Pit-os-Colon, Bulacao-SM, JMall-Ayala, Ayala-Mandaue, Liloan-Mandaue, Talisay-Parkmall, Lapu-Lapu-Cordova, Minglanilla-Cebu IT Park, Mandaue-Cathedral, Labangon-Ayala, Mabolo-Carbon-Alumnus Colon, Bulacao-SM and Mandaue-Cebu City.

Quevedo said there are 170 PeoplesJeep units. The coop plans to expand its modern jeepney fleet. The coop is expecting 135 more units with consolidated franchises for additional and existing routes.
