THE Petro Gazz Angels has announced that it has released five players from its squad in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

In a post on its official Facebook page, Petro Gazz disclosed that outside hitter Jonah Sabete, middle blockers Cherry Nunag and Jeanette Panaga, opposite hitter Kai Nepomuceno-Baloaloa and outside hitter Jovie Prado have hit free agency.

“We’re thankful for all the years you’ve played for the Petro Gazz family! Forever grateful for all the amazing memories! Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors! Thank you, Angels!” read Petro Gazz’s statement.

It won’t be long, though, before other teams snag these free agents especially with the credentials they possess. Nunag was deemed the second best Middle Blocker during her stint in the 2019 Reinforced Conference, while Panaga was awarded as the second best Middle Blocker during the 2019 Open Conference.

Prado was also named the best Outside Spiker of the 2019 Open Conference.

Petro Gazz already has a formidable roster led by Cebuana powerhouse and former NCAA MVP, Grethcel Soltones. (JNP)
