Actress Jessy Mendiola has announced that she is ready to have kids with her husband, TV host Luis Manzano.

Jessy confirmed this in her latest YouTube vlog where she answered the most commonly asked questions about her. "Yes, I am ready to get pregnant," the actress said.

She shared that she would rather have children while she is still young. "Better din na nasa late 20s na rin ako, kesa nasa 30s na 'ko. Parang feeling ko mas mabilis akong magba-bounce back. And gusto rin talaga namin ni Luis na siguro mga two to three yung children namin," Jessy said. "Kaya sana two to three kids before I turn 33, ganun. 28 na 'ko ngayon eh, so meron akong five years pa."

(It's better because I'm in my late 20s, rather than when I'm in my later 30s. I feel like I can quickly bounce back. Luis and I would like to have two to three children. Hopefully two to three kids before I turn 33).

However, Jessy clarified that she is not pregnant. But she would surely let her fans know as soon as she is.

“No guys, I’m not pregnant yet. Don’t worry, if I’m pregnant, I’ll tell you all and I won’t hide it. But right now, not yet,” she said.

Given the pandemic, the actress said that she and her husband Luis are unsure about having a child any time soon. She is hoping that things will get better in the near future.

"Siguro (Perhaps) when things are better," she said. "Sana talaga (Hopefully) things get better. Para rin (So that) you know, all of us could really move on with our lives na walang (without) worries, na walang (no) anxiety na nakakabit (attached)."

Luis revealed that because of his age, the pressure of starting a family is harder for him than it is for Jessy.

“Given naman ‘yun. Siyempre hindi na naman na ako bumabata (That's a given. Of course, I am not getting any younger),” he said.

Luis added that most of his friends have families of their own.

Kumbaga sa buong barkada ko, sabihin natin mga kinse kami, parang 12-13 [may pamilya na]. Malalaki na nga mga anak actually."

(Translation: I suppose with my whole gang, let’s say we are about 15, like 12-13 [already have a family]. Their kids are grown-ups actually.)

Luis said that he wants to share the same bond that he had with his dad with his future children.

Marami kaming na-eenjoy ni Daddy together even at this point. So parang ‘yun din ang habol ko na parang ‘yung anak natin marami pa kaming magawa,” he said.

(Translation: Daddy and I enjoyed a lot together even at this point. So it seems that is what I am also chasing, we do a lot of things with our son.)

After more than four years of dating, Jessy, 28, and Luis, 40, announced their engagement in December of last year. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at The Farm in San Benito in Batangas in February.
