Robin Padilla confirmed that his daughter Kylie Padilla and her partner Aljur Abrenica have broken up because of a third party.
Robin revealed this in an exclusive interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube vlog last Thursday (July 7).
Ogie asked the veteran actor if a third party was the reason for the celebrity couple's break-up, to which Robin replied: "Meron daw, e. E, imposible ba yun? Hindi naman imposible yun. E, lalaki 'yan. (There is. Is that impossible? It's not impossible. He is a man).
Robin said that he was in no position to judge Aljur because he also had illicit affairs in the past.
The actor said there is no need for Aljur to apologize to him.
He casually said, "Hindi na kailangan. Ang baduy nun! Mag-sorry ka kung sinaktan niya ng pisikal." (No need. That’s old-fashioned! Apologize if they hurt you physically).
Robin said that domestic violence is where he draws the line, warning his daughter's husband: "P***, I'll hunt you down Aljur. T*****. Don't do that to my daughter. I never hurt her. Don't do that."
Robin clarified, however, that Aljur is "kind" and won't hurt his daughter.
Earlier this year, the young celebrity couple’s cryptic posts on social media sparked breakup rumors. The pair have since posted photos of each other again, together with their sons Alas and Axl.
One of Kylie's since-deleted updates on Instagram Stories read: "I'm submissive not stupid."
Netizens also noted that Aljur posted a photo of himself holding a rosary and praying for “peace” and “clarity.
The couple stayed mum on the issue.
On March 26, however, the two were seen happily together at Aljur’s 31st birthday celebration.
Two months later, at a media conference on May 24, Aljur admitted that he and Kylie were having a problem, but he did not go into detail about it.
For her part, Kylie has remained silent until now.
Based on her Instagram posts, the actress is busy being a hands-on mom to her two children with Aljur, Alas, 4, and Axl, 1.
