Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr. will reportedly vie for the position of Pasig vice mayor in the 2022 elections, according to reports.

According to the reports, a source confirmed that Jaworski will serve as the running mate of incumbent city mayor Vico Sotto.

Dodot is the son of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) legend Robert Jaworski. He is also a former professional athlete who suited up in the age-old league back in the mid-to-late 1990s before focusing his attention on politics.

Dodot even shared the court with his father at Barangay Ginebra back when Robert used to fulfill a double-duty role as a playing coach for the team.

Drafted in 1995, he ended his short but meaningful three-year career with one championship which came in the 1997 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Years removed from his sporting stint, Dodot served as Pasig's congressman in the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2007.

He then vied for the position of Pasig mayor in 2007 to no avail after losing to Bobby Eusebio, the man who governed Pasig for over 11 years until Sotto won the mayoral elections in 2019.
