The long losing streak continued for Kobe Paras and the Niigata Albirex BB in the 2021-22 Japan B. League, after they suffered their 12th straight loss on Saturday (December 4).

The Albirex could not keep up with the offensive barrage of the Akita Northern Happinets in a deflating 62-79 defeat at the City Hall Plaza Aore Nagaoka.

Paras had another quiet day in the office as he finished with nine points on 4-of-9 shooting for Niigata, which fell to a dismal 2-12 win-loss record.

The Northern Happinets, who soared to an 8-9 slate, relied on the all-around brilliance of Colton Iverson and Jordan Glynn. The two powered Akita in the second half where they instigated a 15-4 run that ballooned a 38-29 lead to a commanding 53-33 advantage.

Iverson topped the scoring charts with 21 points, on top of seven rebounds and three assists, while Glynn made his presence felt from beyond the arc with three triples to wind up with 18 points, to go along with five boards, four steals and three dimes.

Rosco Allen, on the other hand, spearheaded the losing side with 16 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks that went for naught.

Paras and Niigata will seek to end the demoralizing run when they face off against Akita again on Sunday.
