Kobe Paras and the Niigata Albirex BB suffered their second straight loss in the 2021-22 Japan B. League after falling to Levanga Hokkaido 75-85 at the Hokkai Kitayell Saturday (16 October).

The Filipino stalwart managed to put up a team-high 13 points to go with three rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block, but it was far from enough to quell the Ryoma Hashimoto-led Hokkaido as Niigata slid down to a 2-3 win-loss record.

Paras found his prolific form in the opening half where he unloaded 11 points in an attempt to crank up the offensive machine of Albirex BB, who trailed 29-45 at the break. His offense, however, went adrift from then on as Hokkaido seal Niigata's losing fate with their breakthrough win.

Hashimoto spearheaded Levanga's scoring thrust with 20 points built on four triples, while De'Mon Brooks caused Niigata problems inside the shaded area with his 13-point, 11-rebound double-double effort.

Rosco Allen, one of Niigata's high-volume scorers, was held down to 12 points, while Tshilidzi Nephawe finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks that went for naught.

The Albirex BB will try to bounce back on Sunday when they face Hokkaido once again.
