Philippines November inflation quickens to 1.3%

MANILA, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Philippine annual inflation was 1.3% in November, picking up from 0.8% in the previous month, fuelled by higher costs of alcoholic beverages, tobacco and utilities, the statistics agency said on Thursday.

Economists in a Reuters poll had expected inflation to quicken to 1.3% in November, which was within the central bank's forecast of 0.9% to 1.7% for the month. (Reporting by Karen Lema and Neil Jerome Morales; Editing by Clarence Fernandez)
