Bobby Ray Parks and the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins ran roughshod over Dwight Ramos and the Toyama Grouses with a 101-75 blowout in the 2021-22 Japan B. League at the Dolphin's Arena on Sunday (19 December).

Parks once again came through with 14 points, four rebounds and three assists for the streaking Diamond Dolphins, who have now won five straight to hike their win-loss record to 14-7.

Ramos, on the other hand, could not find his prolific form, finishing with a meager line of two points on 1-of-7 shooting from the field, four dimes, two steals and a board for Toyama, which slid to a 7-14 slate.

Nagoya relied on the collective hats of Coty Clarke, Taito Nakahigashi, Scott Eatherton and Parks to dictate the tempo all game long.

This put the pressure on the Grouses, who eventually crumbled in the second half, where the Diamond Dolphins surged to widen a 52-42 edge to a commanding 29-point lead at 99-70.

Clarke spearheaded the winning charge with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. Nakahigashi supplemented 18 points, while Eatherton churned out a double-double line of 16 points, 10 boards and five dimes.

For the Grouses, Joshua Smith saw his 19-point, eight-rebound effort go to waste. Brice Johnson produced 14 points, seven boards and three assists in the crushing defeat, while Julian Mavunga put up 12 points, four rebounds and three assists that went for naught.

Parks and the Diamond Dolphins shall next face Kyoto Hannaryz, while Ramos and the Grouses will attempt to bounce back against the Gunma Crane Thunders. Both matches will take place next weekend.
