President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday (September 7) wrapped up his first overseas trip as leader of the Philippines.
He made two state visits to Indonesia and Singapore, where he met with the local Filipino communities before meeting the leaders of both countries.
Marcos declared the trip a success, saying that he and his team secured investment pledges of US$14 billion for the Philippines, which would go towards infrastructure, renewable energy, data centres, e-commerce, broadband technology, government housing and agriculture.
The president visited Indonesia from September 4 to 6, and Singapore on September 6 and 7.
