Welcome refuge for India's widows

Young or old, widows often become outcasts, degraded by their communities, deprived of their civil and economic rights and sometimes thrown out of their homes by their own families. Hundreds of India's widows who have been abandoned by their families live in Vrindavan shelter, which provides education, healthcare and vocational skills.
