Piers Morgan has demanded that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle be stripped of their royal titles "with immediate effect".

The former Good Morning Britain presenter's rant – in which he dubs the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "Prince Poison and Princess Pinocchio" – comes in reaction to news that Harry is to publish a tell-all memoir next year.

Morgan wrote in his column in the MailOnline: "I've said this before, and I now say it again: the Queen should strip Harry and Meghan of all their titles with immediate effect.

"Compel them to do this malevolent, manipulative cr*p in their names, not as royals."

Harry and Meghan resigned from their royal duties in January 2020 and after moving to the US have signed up to a number of lucrative deals with Netflix, Spotify and now Penguin Random House, but they formally remain the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The news that Prince Harry is to publish an "intimate and heartfelt" autobiography about his life, "not as the prince I was born but as the man I have begun", has sparked heated speculation as to what secrets he will reveal about the Royal Family and how they will feel about the book.

Morgan fumed: "To be blunt: Harry's a sell-out, and this is just another example of him selling out.

Their first engagement was to a Justice Desk initiative in Nyanga township, which teaches children about their rights, self-awareness and safety, and provides self-defence classes and female empowerment training to young girls in the community. The Justice Desk is an NGO supported by The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, of which The Duke serves as President and The Duchess as Vice-President. To date, the Justice Desk has directly assisted over 35,000 individuals, schools and communities. On arrival at Nyanga Methodist Church, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met Jessica Dewhurst, Justice Desk Founder and Queen's Young Leader, and Theodora Luthuli, Justice Desk Community Leader. Jessica took Their Royal Highnesses on a walking tour of various activities taking place. Moving into the learning centre, Theodora introduced them to her mother and the centre's founder, Sylvia Hobe. Harry and Meghanl then observed the Mbokodo Girls' Empowerment programme, which provides self-defence classes and female empowerment training to young girls who have suffered major trauma. The project's motto is, 'waithint' abafazi wathint'imbokodo' (when you strike a women; you strike a rock). The session then began with the students reciting 'Our Deepest Fear,' the club's anthem. The girls then broke off into four training groups. Harry and Meghan were then escorted around the groups to learn about the purpose of each of the activities, before coming back together to form a circle where the girls had an opportunity to have a discussion with them in a private setting. Afterwards, Harry & Meghan left the learning centre, followed by the girls singing their team anthem.

"It's sad, pathetic, and totally unnecessary, and it will obviously cause yet more pain to his grandmother who is still mourning the loss of her husband Philip."

And he added: "Prince Poison has gone toxically rogue, and the royals should have nothing more to do with him or his wife Princess Pinocchio until or if they stop this horribly destructive vituperative rampage against them all.

"The memoirs are a slap in the face too far for a family that's surely exhausted all collective patience with the Sussexes."
