THE town of Pinamungajan in southwestern Cebu recorded seven new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) on Thursday, June 4, 2020.
This was announced by the Pinamungajan Municipal Government through its official Facebook page. The town now has a total of eight Covid-19
Four of the new Covid-19 cases came from Barangay Tangub, and they are asymptomatic. Two cases were from Barangay Tajao, of which only one showed symptoms of the viral disease.
A resident of Barangay Tutay also tested positive for Covid-19.
All the patients were brought to the quarantine facility in the town.
Mayor Glenn Baricuatro, alarmed by the increasing trend of Covid-19 cases in the town, gathered his health personnel and barangay captains to trace the persons who were exposed to the patients. He also ordered to lock down the barangays with Covid-19 cases.
Baricuatro urged his constituents to observe personal hygiene and health protocol such as the wearing of masks.
He also encouraged them to stay inside their homes if they have nothing important to do. (ANV)
