Pinoys among top mobile porn viewers, Pornhub survey shows

More and more Filipinos are accessing pornographic content on mobile devices, with most of them doing so late at night.

This was the finding of porn site Pornhub.com, which said Filipinos ranked a "solid" 15th for visitors using mobile devices in 2013.

"In 2013, the Philippines ranked 26th in worldwide traffic to Pornhub, but interestingly they ranked a solid 15th for visitors using mobile devices. That's quite a significant difference!" it said.

Also, Pornhub said most Filipinos access porn between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., though the least popular time is between 4 and 7 a.m.

In 2013, it added May was the "most popular" month to access porn, while February was the "least popular" to do so.

On the other hand, Pornhub found mobile users generally spend more time on Pornhub than those using personal computers.

"On average Filipinos will visit around 9 pages in a little over 13 minutes. Now that’s stamina! In fact, it’s one of the longest average visit durations we’ve tracked," it said.

It noted Filipinos using mobile devices viewed 10.5 pages per visit to Pornhub in 2013, compared to 7.9 using PCs.

Filipinos also spent more time on Pornhub using mobile devices at 13 minutes and 29 seconds, compared to 12 minutes and 57 seconds using PCs.

"Filipinos sure do like visiting Pornhub on their mobiles! Though 53 percent use a desktop, 37 percent of the traffic comes from various mobile devices, and 10 percent from tablets. Sometimes you just need some porn on the fly!" it said.

It also noted Windows Desktop is the most popular platform, with just under 50 percent of traffic, followed by Android Mobile and iOS tablets.

Pinays, Japanese

Pornhub also found most Filipinos visiting it looked for Filipinas and Japanese girls.

Traffic drop after Yolanda

Pornhub noted a drop in traffic in November 2013, shortly after super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) devastated Visayas and Southern Luzon, and left more than 6,100 dead.

"Unsurprisingly, traffic dropped that week, and mobile traffic was down 5.7 percent," it noted. — TJD, GMA News
