PNP to raise security in embassies of Iran, US, other countries in PH

The Philippine National Police (PNP) will raise security in the respective embassies of the United States (US), Iran, and their allied countries in the Philippines.

This is amid the rising tension between the US and Iran after one of Iran’s top generals were killed in an airstrike launched by the US.

According to PNP Deputy Chief for Operations PLt. Gen. Camilo Cascolan they are already coordinating with the officials in the said embassies.

“Lahat ng (all of the) embassies will be meeting with their liaison officer o protocol officer so that we will be able to in place what is supposed to be done with the embassies,” he said.—AAC (with reports from Lea Ylagan)
