Actress Katya Santos graced the launch of the Point Blank MMOFPS at the Hexagon Lounge at RCBC Plaza in Makati City. Edwin FranciscoIP e-Game Ventures Inc and X-Play Online Games Inc announced on July 8 the limited commercial launch in the Philippines of Point Blank, a Massive Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter (MMOFPS) game that boasts the challenge of a multiplayer game and the excitement of an FPS.
Point Blank takes off from Counter-Strike, one of the best tactical FPS games in recent years. Developed by Zepetto in South Korea, the game's i-Cube engine promises a rich interactive experience, with destructible elements like cars and windows that make strategic thinking an important part of the gameplay.
Point Blank currently has 8 game modes, 8 playable characters, 200 weapons and 40 stages. A new Dinosaur mode (Head Hunter) is also planned for release soon.
Leveling up gives Point Blank a distinctive RPG experience: the more you play, the better your character will become.
The game's producers also promise a non-stop stream of updatesand patches to keep gamers challenged.
