Police arrest male instructor for ‘molesting’ 3 dance trainees

A DANCE instructor accused of molesting his trainees was arrested by police at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, in Sitio Taytayan, Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City.

Christopher Pascual, 53, was arrested by personnel of the Labangon Police Station and the Criminal Investigation Detection Group Mandaue Field Unit and the Regional Intelligence Unit, based on an arrest warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Cebu City Branch 22 Judge Stephen Ian Belacho on July 14, 2022.

Maj. Janilito Marquez, chief of the Labangon Police Station, said the complaint against Pascual was filed by three girls, ages 12 to 14, who accused the suspect of molesting them.

“Kanang iyang tudloag sayaw sagad minor 12 ngadto sa 14 anyos, iyahang sugoon sa pagpalit og candy ang uban unya dayon hilabtan,” Marquez said.

(His dance trainees who are mostly minors with ages ranging from 12 to 14, would be asked to buy candy, then molest some of them).

Pascual, however, denied the accusation against him. (GPL / TPT)
