Police begin rescue of minors in Talisay City

THE Talisay City police have started rescuing minors who are out on the streets late at night and in the wee hours of the morning.

They are following Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas’ directive after the latter signed Executive Order 006-2022 Series of 2022 implementing a six-hour curfew for minors (17 years old and below).

The curfew hours will run from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. It will take effect Monday night, August 15.

Police had recovered a knife from an 18-year-old man who was about to join a riot in Barangay Dumlog.

Police said the suspect and his companions are members of the Batang Maghaway Gang, a group composed mostly of minors from different barangays in the city. (BBT, PJB)
