What an explosive interview! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went all out in their talk with host Oprah Winfrey, in a show titled Oprah With Meghan And Harry: A CBS Primetime Special.
During the conversation, the Duchess of Sussex claimed her husband Prince Harry told her that a member of the family had spoken to him with concerns about how "dark" their son's skin might be.
This was just one of the many shocking revelations made by Markle in the interview, just a year after she stepped back from her royal duties in the UK.
In another sad moment, Markle also revealed her mental health crisis, and had considered taking her life.
She said: “I just didn’t see a solution. I would sit up at night, and I was just like I don’t understand how all of this is being churned out and again I wasn’t seeing it, but it’s almost worse when you feel it through the expression of my mom or my friends or them calling me, crying, just like, ‘Meg, they’re not protecting you’.
Despite her deteriorating mental health, Markle said that when she approached a senior member of the royal family (who she didn't name) as well as the palace's human resources department for help, she was denied support and outpatient treatment.
