Last month, rumours that Great British Bake Off contestants Henry Bird and Alice Fevronia were dating started doing the rounds.

Henry, 20, a student from Durham and 28-year-old Alice, a geography teacher from Essex, posted a load of snaps of one another on social media, and eagle-eyed followers spotted comments from their fellow Bake Off alumni suggesting the pair are more than just good pals.

Notably from Michael Chakraverty, who said, “Such a beautiful couple", and Dan Chambers comment, “You guys!!!”which came with three heart emojis. Helena Garcia also chimed in with, "You two couldn’t possibly be more adorable".

But Alice seemed to hit back at these rumours when she recently posted a photo of her with Henry, Michael and Dan. She captioned it: "But how many couples can you see...? 🤦🏻♀️ #GBBO".

Okay, so maybe they aren't a couple now (but they might be...), but is there a chance they were a couple during filming? Something Sandi Toksvig said during last night's episode made us think they may well have been.

When she stepped up to the pasta machine, he said: "Can you crank clockwise? Clockwise – yeah that way." Sandi replied: "I know clockwise, darling."

After he told her to go faster, Sandi replied: "You’re quite bossy. I wouldn’t be your girlfriend."

Is she referring to a specific girlfriend aka ALICE?!?!

Maybe. Maybe not...

At the time, a source said to The Sun about their rumoured romance, "Alice and Henry hit it off from the start as they have a lot in common. They confided in each other a lot during the [Great British Bake Off] process, which can be quite intense at times. Since filming has finished they've been spending more time together — including a few dates. It's early days but they are a lovely couple and seem very happy. Pals have been joking that it’s the cherry on top of the experience."

So to sum up: we still have no idea what's going on with these two. Soz...
