Pulse Asia: Poe leads 2019 mid-term polls’ ‘Magic 12’

MANILA, Philippines — Incumbent Senator Grace Poe tops the latest Pulse Asia’s “Ulat ng Bayan” national survey of possible contenders in the May 2019 mid-term elections.

Poe ranked first with 70.8% while Senator Cynthia Villar and former Senator now Taguig Representative Pia Cayetano come second with 55.6% rating.

Also coming out strong are re-electionists Senator Nancy Binay and Senator Sonny Angara followed by Davao City Mayor Sarah Duterte-Carpio.

Other names included in the so-called “Magic 12” are Senate President Koko Pimentel; former Senators Sergio Osmeña, Lito Lapid, and Jinggoy Estrada; broadcaster Erwin Tulfo; and former PNP Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa., respectively.

The survey conducted from March 23 to 28, 2018 was based on a sample of 1,200 respondents. It has a plus-minus 3% error margin at the 95% confidence level for national percentages. — Marje Navarro – Pelayo | UNTV News & Rescue
