A HUSBAND of a barangay health worker was stabbed dead by a person with disability (PWD) for allegedly killing the latter’s chick in Barangay Looc Norte in the northwestern town of Asturias, Cebu on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022.

MSgt. Bendie Nuñez of the Asturias Police Station told Superbalita Cebu the incident happened around 1:40 p.m.

He identified the victim as 47-year-old Mico Etang Sale and the suspect as 44-year-old Edgar Aulestia, who suffered a stroke which affected the right side of his body. The two men are neighbors in the barangay.

According to the initial investigation, Sale and Aulestia had an argument before the stabbing. Aulestia was angry at Sale, whom he accused of killing his chick, which the latter denied.

This enraged the suspect, who suddenly grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.

Police believed the knife penetrated Sale’s heart, which led to his death.

Aulestia, who is under police custody, will be charged with homicide.
