QC Public Library opens online poetry writing and recital contest for the elderly

The Quezon City Public Library has launched a poetry writing and recital contest for the elderly in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day on June 12.

With the theme: “Kalayaan sa COVID-19: Kalusugan Pakaingatan,” the QC Public Library invites senior citizens across the country to submit their entries in Filipino.

“To qualify, entries should be written in Filipino comprising of about 250 words and recite your poem through video. Submit your entries together with the written copy of your poem to periodicalqclibrary@gmail.com from June 10, 2020 until June 20, 2020,” the QC Government said in their social media post.

The announcement of winners will be on June 25, 2020. Cash prizes await participants. AAC
