Quad-core Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0 revealed, priced at P7,999

This just in: Cherry Mobile has divulged that the smartphone it is releasing next week is the Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0, an update to the first SkyFire the company rolled out to stores in November 2012.

Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0

This time, the model gets a quad-core processor, making it the fourth Cherry Mobile quad-core device after the Fusion Bolt, Flame 2.0, and Fusion Fire. The Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0 is also now powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 chipset instead of MediaTek's MT6577.

The Cherry Mobile SkyFire 2.0 is said to be the equivalent of Karbonn S5 Titanium, which costs about P9,000 in India. And good news for us here in the Philippines: the Cherry Mobile version is cheaper at P7,999.
