Rage Against the Internet: Pissed dude smashes router due to slow connection

·2 min read

Quarantining has pushed people to the brink of their patience, such as this 21-year-old student who smashed a Globe Telecom router because he’s had it with its super slow internet connection.

Using the name Kebing Bravo, our pissed off netizen posted the video late last week, which showed him destroying the gadget with brute force using a hammer. What made it even more comical was the video’s jazzy background music, titled Tang In*ang Internet Sobrang Bagal (“F*ck This Slow Internet”).

Watch the video below, which has since been shared almost 57,000 times since it appeared on Facebook.

The first version of the video even attracted the attention of internet provider Globe Telecom, which posted a comment saying, “We definitely want to get to the bottom of this and make sure your service is up and running smoothly. Is this for mobile data, Home Prepaid WiFi or Broadband connection?”

An amused Bravo simply responded with this: “HAHAHAHA.”

Bravo told Coconuts Manila in a Facebook Messenger interview that he made the video “out of boredom and frustration. [It] was erratic, slow internet, and bad service….I didn’t expect it to go viral.”

He has since gone back to using another company’s service, but he hopes that Globe understood his statement clearly.

“It’s a message that says they really have to fix their service. We’re paying on time, but what they’re giving us is terrible [service],” he said.
