Raja Azmi: "There is no third party"

2 Jul – Following her divorce of ex-national badminton player Jalani Sidek just last week, rumours that local film producer Raja Azmi Raja Sulaiman was having an affair with a younger man who led to the divorce, have surfaced.

According to mStar, Raja Azmi revealed that her disappointment with those who had labelled her as a controversial figure. Her divorce was the best way to protect her ex-husband from people who called him a coward in their relationship and from these rumours.

"Last time, people related me with Roslin Hashim, and now they have the story that I am getting cozy with a young man. I think divorce is the best way to end all these things. I am not willing to see others to accuse Jalani as a coward anymore," explained Raja Azmi.

When she was questioned about her seen intimate relationship with a younger man, Raja Azmi explained that the man was just her colleague in the movie industry and that there were no said 'intimate' things happening between the two of them.

The 53-year-old went on to add that she had some young male friends who were looking for opportunities in the film industry and she merely wanted to see their acting potential fror her films.

Currently, the film producer just wants to focus on her television drama production while she was still waiting for her movie screenings in cinemas nationwide as her previous productions were unable to achieve encouraging outcomes.

Her new production company Akid Production, which was formed earlier this year, had just finished the shooting of the television movie "Aidiladha Baitulmaqdis", which will be shown on RTM and Astro channels.

There was also a possibility that her new film "Anak Ikan" will be released in cinemas at the end of this year.
