CEBU City Mayor Michael Rama encouraged the public to continue to be more watchful and careful after the series of bomb threats received by authorities in Cebu City on Thursday, May 26, 2022.

Rama told SunStar Cebu that he is in constant communication with the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) to monitor the threats in the city.

Rama said that he just spoke with Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilbert Parilla, the deputy director for operations of the CCPO, as they are "continuously keeping track of the numbers"

"I was telling him (Parilla) nga tan-awa na kay it was technology motivated and that somehow should be technologically investigated," said Rama.

Rama, further, said that for now, he does not want to attribute any motive to the multiple bomb threats.

The mayor also lamented that the culprits behind the threats have no sensivity to the well-being of the public.

"Wala na siyay sensitivity sa mga tao nga will be unnecessarily troubled and disturbed," said Rama. (IRT)
