FORMER University of the Visayas standout Randy dela Pisa showed that he has plenty of gas left in the tank as he scored an incredible 63 points to lead the Prime Movers Logistics-Eagles to a lopsided 142-78 win over the Chameleons in the Elite Basketball Cebu Season 18 last Sunday at the Casals Gym.

Dela Pisa, the former slam dunk king of the defunct Cebu Amateur Athletic Association, also had 13 rebounds and four assists in a performance that puts his name in the league’s record books for the second highest single-game scoring performance right behind Jabby Bautista’s 70 points.

More importantly, the win catapulted the Eagles back to the top of the standings at 5-1.

Meanwhile, the Hogs grabbed a share of second place with an 84-76 win over the Vipers. Former Cesafi Most Valuable Player Shaquille Imperial tallied 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals to power the Hogs to their fourth win in five matches, forging a three-way tie for second place with the Rhinos and the Bears.

The Bulldogs also grabbed their first win of the competition with a 105-103 win over the Barracudas. Former Southwestern University-Phinma stud Gerald Fernandez had an impressive double-double of 22 points and 17 rebounds to go with three assists and three steals to help push the Bulldogs into the win column.
