Rasenta Builders defeats SMCCO to near Duterte Basketball League Cebu title

The Rasenta Builders are now just a win away from earning the title in the Duterte Basketball League Cebu after they trounced SMCCO, 55-48, in Game One of the best-of-three finals last Sunday at the Capitol Parish Gym.

It was a tight game for most of the way but Rasenta’s depth proved too much for SMCCO. Aying Rosano led the winning team with 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while Noel Torrefiel added nine markers, three boards, and two assists.

Charles Singson chipped in eight points and two assists.

SMCCO got 12 points and five rebounds from Robin Ludovice, while Jan Javellana poured in nine points, and three rebounds.

Rasenta will try to finish SMCCO off in Game Two on Sunday, June 12, at 2 p.m.
